Based on the band, Versailles Philharmonic Quintet, I'm drawing each member of the band as their role suits them from their "Descendants of the Rose" concept. You can understand it more by watching the PVs of their songs.

The roles are as follows:
Kamijo - The Prince/Vampire
Hizaki - The Princess
Teru - The Lost Boy with No Destination
Jasmine You - The Witch
Yuki - The Hunter

This entry is the last part of my "Descendants of the Rose" project, which is the entire band of Versailles Philharmonic Quintet! (Well, including the little girl from the "Ascendead Master" PV)

I'm sorry this took quite longer than I mention, I had a painting stall, like I couldn't figure out how to color everything....and also because of the fact that Jasmine You has so many details on his costume! >.<

Anyways, this piece revolves pretty much around Versailles' "Ascendead Master" PV, because they're wearing their new costumes and the little girl is in there (I decided to draw her wearing boots...there's not really any good pics out there with a full shot of what she's wearing so I took a guess, eheh...sorry I'm not very good at drawing children...she looks older than what the PV implies..).

Kudos to the one who first guesses where's its from. XD *cough* But yeah, the image I had in my head for the final piece of this project was actually really different, more light than dark, but I think I'll save that idea for later because it didn't fit as the final piece concept. ^^ I actually was going to start over, but I stuck with this piece and I think it turned out pretty well...please excuse the high contrast, my scanner is on the fritz.

The concept of this piece also revolves around an idea influenced from ~xXCrulKidXx, which is when a descendant of a rose has to die, brambles, blood, and thorns shoot out of their hearts and wrists...their entire body...until it rips them to pieces. Except the only modification that I did is that their remains turn into petals, so as you can see, the band members are just starting to turn into petals. ...I didn't want it to be too bloody...Kind of gory concept...but this is the beauty of interpretation.... *sigh*

Anyways, like I said in my journal, it's been a crazy rush to the finish, but I hope you all had fun viewing this project as I had making it. It was a painful, endearing, but yet wonderful experience! I've learned a lot on how to accomplish different effects with my drawing style and it's helped me improve as an artist, as much as I love this band!

Jasmine You has passed away as of today, confirmed by an official news post on Versailles' OHP.

I'm currently suffering from some form of shock....my mind is refusing to accept that such an event has happened...I keep on repeating "No! NO!!" over and over to myself and....I'm lost. I'm...just crying at the moment....my family thinks something's wrong with me...but I just can't accept the fact that Jasmine You has died....at least not yet. As I stare at the posters of Versailles that hang on my wall, I burst into even more tears, realizing that one of our most precious roses has left us.....so I look away.

My mind flashes to the time when I shook hands with Jasmine at A-kon....every movement was precise and graceful, and he took my hand with a gentle graceful force and shook it, saying the words "Thank you". His presence, his actions, his appearance...I want to remember Jasmine You that way.


Goodbye....our dearest rose....





Even though my time is running short for doing extreme art projects, I'm going to dedicate a big piece of art to Jasmine You....all other pieces and comics shall be put on hold until I get this piece done.

Rest in peace, our lovely and always beautiful Jasmine You.
